Chinchón is a card game for 2 to 4 players. It belongs to the family of card games which includes Jolly, Canasta, Rummy and Gin Rummy. It is played with 40 Spanish or French cards. At the start of the game each player receives 7 cards. By taking new cards and discarding old ones the players must form groups and/or sequences comprising at least three cards each.
Before the game begins a maximum number of points is agreed. Any player that exceeds this limit is knocked out of the game. Therefore, the last player remaining in the game is the winner. To bring the game to an end a player must lay all of his/her cards in groups and/or sequences. The opponents must then lay their hand cards open on the table. The total value of these cards is converted into negative points for the respective player.
