Ulti is a very popular card game for three players. The game is played with 32 cards of a German or French deck. Two of the players form a team and play against the remaining player. The value of the cards depends on whether or not a trump is defined.

With trump: Ace, 10, King, Over, Under, 9, 8, 7

Without trump: Ace, King, Over, Under, 10, 9, 8, 7

A round of bidding is held, during which the players take turns in announcing bids, in order to decide which game will be played. If a player does not wish to announce a higher bid, he/she may pass. Once the auction is over, the highest bidder (the single player) must select a trump suit.

The aim of the game for the single player is to take as many tricks as possible and achieve his/her bid. The team must, in turn, prevent the single player from fulfilling his/her bid.
