Pachisi is a board game played around the world and is also known as “Ludo”. The game can be played by 2 to 4 players, who play against one another. Each player begins with four playing pieces of the same colour.
The aim of the game is to move your own pieces from the start to the end of the board by taking turns in rolling the dice. A turn consists of rolling the dice and moving the pieces around the board by the number of spaces shown on the dice.
To bring a playing piece into play a player must roll a 6. If a player rolls a 6, he/she may roll again. If a player has no pieces on the board, he/she may roll three times. Players may jump over their own and their opponents’ pieces, however this space still counts as one of the spaces to be moved. If your piece lands on a space occupied by an opponent’s piece, you may knock this piece all of the way back to the start. The first player to move all of his/her pieces into the home stretch is the winner
