Come and join the Club! Are you a real Rummy expert? In this case you will love the Rummyclub. This game is about combining your pieces tactically.
The comfortable cosiness of a card game meets the unlimited fun of a board game here. Inspired by an oriental ambiance Rummyclub will make you feel as if you're chilling out in a lounge with your opponents.
The aim of the game is to discard all but one of your gaming pieces in groups or rows of numbers and uncover your set first.
In this game there are always 2 to 4 players competing against each other. The game is played in real time. You can find details on multiplayer versions here: How do multiplayer games work?
If you start a new game of Rummy Club you can decide how many fellow players you would like to have and what the stakes will be.
The game is played with 106 gaming pieces, which are marked with the numbers 1 to 13 coloured in red, green, yellow and black. Additionally there are 2 pieces, which show a sun and can be used as jokers in the game.
Every player receives 14 pieces, which he can place and arrange anywhere on the gaming board without them being seen by other players. 8 piles with further concealed pieces are placed in the middle of the playing field. The discard pile is on a cushion next to the gaming board. This is where you place pieces that you don't need anymore.
Rummy Club is played with the mouse. To move a piece you click on it with the left mouse button and keep it pressed. You can now move the piece to the desired position and release the mouse button.
You try to form groups or rows of numbers with your pieces now.
A group consists of at least 3 pieces with the same numbers in different colours.
A row of numbers consists of at least 3 pieces with consecutive numbers in matching colours. Here it is possible to add the 1 to the 13. Another row of numbers is 12-13-1. But you cannot continue to build, which means the combination 13-1-2 is not valid.
Every player now has to pick up and discard a piece clockwise. It is up to you, whether you take a concealed piece from the middle or the top piece from the unconcealed discard pile of an opponent.
Your aim is to form groups or rows of numbers with all your pieces until you have one piece left that doesn't fit in anywhere. Then you can turn over your pieces for all to see.
End of the game
The first player to assemble all his pieces but one into groups or rows of numbers can turn over his pieces and is the winner.
Aditionally there are 2 ways to double the win at the end of the game:
- The last piece of a player happens to be a joker
- You form groups of 2 instead of regular groups and sequences and finish the game with 7 pairs. A pair consists of 2 equal pieces.
